One day while walking in the forest enjoying the beautiful colors, Willie, who happens to have autism, comes across a cat with a dilemma. After coming to the cat's aid, the cat and boy become lifelong friends.

This is the first in a series of books about that friendship. Willie develops an appreciation for the animals that live in the forest as he is introduced to them in future books.
